Dr. Ayo Bankole
Dr. Ayo Bankole is a California State licensed Naturopathic Doctor and Physician Assistant. He uses the healing principles of treating the cause of disease and choosing therapies that support his patient’s innate healing system. Dr. Bankole treats a range of conditions including gastrointestinal problems, autoimmunity and diabetes. In practice he emphasizes treating injured and arthritic joints in athletes and non-athletes alike using Prolotherapy and Platelet-rich plasma. He designs customized heart wellness programs that include specialized testing, nutrition and chelation therapy. Having undergone post-graduate training and certification in environmental medicine he understands how even low level toxin exposure cause illness and therefore examines their role, ultimately employing strategies to purge toxins for health restoration. Dr. Bankole’s special interest in weight loss encouraged him to create a one of a kind Clean & Balanced fat loss program to address the hormonal imbalances, inflammation and toxins that led to overeating and fat storage.
Dr. Bankole has served as an academic instructor for the Southwest Institute of Healing Arts Nutrition Program. He has over a decade of medical experience working as an Emergency Medicine Physician Assistant at Kaiser Permanente Moreno Valley and Riverside, Hu Hu Kam Memorial Hospital in Arizona, and Prince George’s Hospital Center in Maryland.
Dr. Bankole received his Naturopathic Doctorate from the Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine in Tempe, AZ, and his undergraduate degree from Howard University in Washington, DC where he completed the Physician Assistant Program. He is a member of the California Naturopathic Doctors Association, and the American Academy for the Advancement of Medicine.
Dr. Bankole likes to spend his spare time listening to jazz music, attending plays and spending time in nature with his family.
Dr. Sasha Blissett, ND
Dr. Blissett is a California State licensed Naturopathic Doctor with a special interest in women’s and endocrine health. Her experience stretches the full spectrum of women’s health, from conception to menopause, and supporting the process of healthy aging. She has concentrated her studies in thyroid and digestive disorders and the use of nutrition, botanicals, and bio-identical hormones. Prior to relocating to California, she assisted in multiple home-births with Dr. Farra Swan, one of the first Naturopathic midwives in the southwestern United States.
Coming from the corporate health and wellness field with one of the largest well-being companies for the past seven years, Dr. Blissett has used her knowledge of naturopathic medicine, disease prevention, and lifestyle counseling to administer customized weight and stress management programs to help improve the overall well-being of her clients. She has also worked with her company’s empowerment learning team, collaborating with colleagues to help target more specific health concerns of its employees.
She particularly excels in personal trust building with patients. Her keen listening skill set helps her clearly understand her patient’s needs and goals. Her focus on strategic goal setting and personal support has contributed to her success. Dr. Blissett has also collaborated with Dr. Bankole on the Clean and Balanced Weight Loss program used at the Inland Naturopathic Medical Center.
She received her Naturopathic Degree from Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine & Health Sciences in Tempe, Arizona, and her bachelor’s degree from Barry University in Miami Shores, Florida where she completed her Pre-med program. She completed a midwifery internship at Casa Nacimiento in El Paso, Texas. Dr. Blissett is a member of the California Naturopathic Doctors Association (CNDA).
When she is not working or expanding her knowledge of natural health therapeutics, Dr. Blissett enjoys dancing, reading, traveling and catching up with her family in Florida and her native Jamaica.
Ahmses Maat, CCP, RRT
As a Certified Clinical Perfusionist and Respiratory Therapist, Ahmses Maat offers decades of life support experience operating the heart-lung bypass machine during open heart surgery. As a team member of the Inland Naturopathic Medical Center, he provides Hyperthermia or the application of a medically induced and controlled fever to treat conditions such as cancer, pain and chronic viral infections. He simultaneously serves as staff Perfusionist at Desert Regional Medical Center in Palm Springs since 2007.
While working as a Respiratory Therapist, he was inspired by a news report documenting the cure of patient dying of an AIDS related lung cancer after receiving a single whole body hyperthermia treatment with a heart-lung machine controlled by a Perfusionist. Although Hyperthermia has many uses, his passion to apply it to cancer was inspired by the loss of his mother to cancer. He went onto receive advanced training in noninvasive whole body hyperthermia and was led to conduct original research in the field. He has presented his work to medical doctors and researchers at internationally recognized medical conferences. His Cardiothoracic 2010 presentation on perfusion and whole body hyperthermia, San Diego and Lake Tahoe, is widely viewed on Youtube. His scientific poster on “HIPEC and Whole Body Hyperthermia Simulation” was selected for the 2014 Society of Surgical Oncology Regional Cancer Symposium. His work includes the application of heat in living systems under bypass along with the external application of heat off bypass.
Ahmses received his post bachelorette certificate in Perfusion Technology from Northeastern University in Boston and his Respiratory Care training from Georgia State University in Atlanta. He also possesses ten years of experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist.
Ahmses has undergone extensive studies in metaphysics, which helps him empower his patients to invigorate their “spirit of the healer”, stimulating passion to actualize optimum health. When not providing health care services he enjoys gardening, traveling and working to keep our community politically organized and culturally aware. In addition, he is an avid Martial Artist holding a black belt in Kung-Fu and enjoys instructing others in self-defense.
Gabriela Hernandez, LVN
Gabriela (Gabby) specializes in providing gentle colon hydrotherapy sessions to our clients. She is both an I-Act Certified Colon Hydrotherapist and a Licensed Vocational Nurse. A series of health challenges lead Gabby to take control of her own health naturally. This included eating according to her blood type, juicing and receiving Colonics. In fact, Gabby is a strong proponent of vegetable juicing for cleansing and health, and believes that every accomplishment starts with the decision to try. Having overcome her health challenges she was inspired to become a Certified Colon Hydrotherapist. She received her training from the Internal Environment Institute in Santa Monica. Prior to becoming a Colon Hydrotherapist, she attended Four-D College where she earned her degree as an LVN. Gabby is a mother of three girls and enjoys spending her spare time with family.
Melissa Guadagnino, Medical & Front Office Assistant
Melissa serves as our front office assistant. In addition to greeting patients and scheduling appointments, she collects blood for lab testing and harvests platelets for use in platelet-rich plasma prolotherapy procedure. She received her certification in Medical Assisting and Phlebotomy from American Career College; after completing studies at Chaffey College. Prior to joining INMC she spent ten years working at Pomona Valley Hospital Medical Center and in an outpatient OB/GYN office.
Her interest in natural health care began with the care of her own children’s health. She learned to effectively use herbal teas and essential oils to in place of drugs to address cold symptoms. Since, she has been a huge promoter of healing herbs, essential oils and other natural remedies.
Melissa is also a licensed landscaper and gardener. She enjoys spare time spent with her children, family and close friends. Her hobbies include tending her vegetable garden and listening to music. Melissa is also an active member of Greenpeace.
